Traditional top-fermented beer Altdeutsche. This beer is a variation of one of the many world styles. Altbier, ( or Alt, which means " old " in German ), is a top-fermented beer brewed mainly in Germany in the area of Düsseldorf. Unlike most top-fermented beers, however, it's aged for 3 months at low temperatures around 2°C. It has a dark-golden color, a beautiful full-bodied and bitter character and a hint of nuts. It is produced by using Hallertauer traditional hops and original German top-fermentation yeast. This beer is an honest 12 degrees beer. The resulting beer is an exclusive affair, which thanks to long term aging in the brewery's cellar at low temperatures, mainly highlights the full-bodied taste and produced bitterness. Beer experts may even pick up a hint of nuts and fruit.
