In our second year of brewing this ale we have been blessed with hops from four Community Associations as well as the back yards of many great Calgarians, honey from our friends at Apiaries& Bees for Communities and locally sourced two-row malted barley, Alberta wheat and lavender. A true community involved ale. A German style Hefeweizen brewed with urban farmed honey, local lavender, and hops grown by Calgary community associations. Light bodied, unfiltered, with strong distinct notes of lavender, clover, and cinnamon. Very sweet and spicy on the pallet, with aromas reminicent of apple pie. Malt: A combination of Alberta Malted Wheat and Alberta 2-Row Premium Malt. Hops: Calgary hops grown by four different community associations. Varieties include, Nugget, Hallertauer, Cascade and Centennial.
