Temp hit 70 degrees today, so I'll open a couple of summer beers. This "perfect summer beer" is hazy and pale yellow, not that attractive to be sure, but has a dense white head and is well carbonated. Oily lime nose, with not much else coming through. Lime flavor is reserved, thankfully, not as pronounced as the aroma would lead you to believe and actually kind of stimulating; soft and pleasant on the palate. Not much of any other taste either, though. Not only is the lime reserved, so is eveything else about this beer. Refreshing, sure, but lacking in character. With the finish I have to think, is this a beer I'm drinking, or a sparkling water with lime? I think I'll wait 'til our HOT summer for another.
