A good drink for a warm summer night, somewhat like Hoegaarden. I think the orginal Vedett is a better alternative to lager than this is to Hoegaarden. But it's not bad beer though, just not as good as the original (Vedett or Hoegaarden alike)

4-pack from the LCBO in green Duvel bottles. Pours a hazy yellow colour with a big white frothy head, good retention and wavy lacing. Wheat nose at first, but eventually the lemon citrus sourness comes out. Smooth Belgian Ale yeast is also present here and in the taste. Mild lemon flavours with the orange in the background, but not really zest, and not much of the coriander. Nothing bad, but just lacking the nice attack of a witbier.

somewhat hazy yellow white with white lacing foam head. Aroma is citrus. Taste is typical white, wheat and citrus notes. Some banana. Aftertaste is quite fresh. (Velp 201307)

Bottled (from belgianshop.be). Hazy pale yellowish golden colour with mediumsized fluffy white head. Aroma is wheat, citrus, some spices and yeast. Flavour is quite much the same in a good balance.

330 ml green stubby bottle, Strag stand at Smak 09. ABV in Norway is 4.7%. Pale golden colour, slightly hazy, low head. Citrussy / lemony aroma, notes of coriander too. Lemony flavour, notes of coriander, but lacks the rounded character of some other witbiers. Still a nice summer refreshment.
