Hubris is our gen-u-wine American cornwine, otherwise known as malt liquor. But this ain’t just any ol’ malt liquor now. Similar to its cousins barleywine or wheatwine, this beast adds a significant amount of corn to the grist, brewed with the finest heirloom Texas blue and white corn from our friends at TexMalt. We then aged the liquid for a year in Iron Root Republic's corn whiskey barrels, from which their incredibly complex and balanced corn whiskey (also known as Hubris) is born. With notes of caramel, baking spice, and a hint of cayenne on the palate, this beer drinks more like a glass of whiskey straight up than a beer. In other words, you might need a beer back with this beer
