Seven is our most aromatic beer. The brewery’s saison yeast is fully expressed in the aroma with lots of fruitiness while the hops provide light spice notes. The beer has some heft mid-palette but finishes dry with a lightly lingering bitterness. Seven is satisfying on its own but pairs great with a variety of typically fragrant cuisines such as Thai or Indian. Malts: organic pale, pilsener, organic munich Hops: magnum, mt.rainier, hallertauer mittelfrüh, liberty

Sampled on 4/16/2011. This saison pours a hazy medium orange gold color from a 750ml bottle. Large sized white foamy head with long lasting retention and nice lacing. The aroma is fruity and sweet, citrusy, floral and hoppy. The aroma is fruity, citrusy and sweet. The hops are floral and spicy. A touch of tartness and funkiness, not sure if it is supposed to be there but I kind of like it. Nicely lively carbonation. Yeasty and bright. Spicy and a touch funky, the yeast character is in the forefront of this beer. Nice dry finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet

I have BeerPal member beercronic to thank for this one. He was nice enough to share a bottle of this with me at Bailey's Taproom in Portland. Unfortunately, it was the end of a long day and I didn't take any notes. It was definitely a good beer, but nothing really stood out. Straw color, a little hazy. Decent white head. Mildly aromatic aroma of spice, fruit and farmhouse. Thanks Jeff
