Brewed since 2000, this is an old fashioned beer. Floral nose, fruity, toasted bread, with hints of honey and praline. Thin-bodied with a medium aftertaste. Salty bite, hops flavor and pepper and malt finish.

Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is grass, yeast and some hops. Flavour is fruity, raisiny, quite yeasty and also quite big on the herbs. Leaves quite earthy notes in the aftertaste.

This brew is based on 1950's old style lagers. It pours a golden-beige colour with a small head. Retention is lame and lacing is minimal. Slight ring of foam around the collar. Grainy malt nose, but very mild. The taste is challenged between cereal malt, caramel malt and some good hop flavour. It use to come in stubbies before, but now it comes in normal Molson brown bottles. I think the brew has changed since then, as I remember prefering the old stuff in the little bottles. Still a decent lager with bite, and good to see Unibroue not commercializing this one.

Bottle: Poured a dark yellow beer with a huge bubbly head that disappeared a bit too quickly for my liking. Aroma is a mix of usual Unibroue malt and not much else. Taste is again characterized by Unibroue usual malt with a nice little touch of hops. Better then some other pils out there but nothing too good for a brewery who can do a whole lot better.

A nice lager - hoppy, but not quite a pils. Decent session beer. They bill this as an "old style beer", and it does actually seem kind of "familiar". From a great brewery.

Cool stubby bottle. Look like its going to be a darker beer but its not its light in color. Big bubbles in the head like soap bubbles. Dissipated quickly. Has a grainy smell. Carbonated, remindes me of Bud light at first then maybe Corona but slightly better. This beer was on the sweet side. Lemon? A good back yard beer. Not awfull, but would'nt buy again.

copper colour, fine head, subtile peach and orange aroma, some acidity, nice body, long bitter and slightly spicy aftertaste - makes me much more impression than the first time I tasted it
