India Pale Ale is a style of ale noted for its high hop content. The style of beer received its name in the 19th century when England controlled the country of India. With no refrigeration or pasteurization in those days, the British were challenged to brew a beer that would survive the long, hot trip to India and upon arrival, satisfy the British citizens and thirsty troops stationed there. In discovering that the hop flower is a natural preservative, the British brewed an ale with an abundant amount of hops, and it worked! Hundreds of years later, the style is still the favorite of many a craft brew drinker. Uinta’s Trader is a well balanced version of the traditional India Pale Ale. The beer is dry hopped with a generous amount of Centennial hops that give it a nice floral finish and a citrusy assertiveness without jeopardizing its malt flavor.

One of the better sessions out there. For 4%, I'd say on the heavier side for both malt and hops. Good balance...crisp and refreshing. Has a cloudy light orange appearance. Mild citrus and pine in the aroma and flavor. A new addition to my spring and summer beer rotations.

don’t see the low rank for this (rb), though it’s not among the best, either. decent body for the low abv and does a decent job of showcasing a good amount of floral and citrusy hops.
