English: It’s a beer that’s been thought about for quite some time – actually since the brewers first visit to Sherbrooke Liquor in Edmonton, AB, Canada a few years back, and finally I did it – I manned up and did it! After a whole freaking day of brewing coffee for this beer I can truly say it is Craft. If not devoted to the product who in their right mind would brew hundreds of litres of coffee for a beer? The result is a big and bold smooth Porter with discrete vanilla and coffee notes. Hops: Magnum, Nelson Sauvin Malts: Pilsner, Caramel, Rye, Oats, Chocolate, Black, Vanilla and coffee.

Sep. 2015: 330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. BB date 02.07.2014. ABV is 10,0%. Black colour, moderate tan head. Strong aroma of roast malts, coffee and vanilla (no surprise), also chocolate and some caramel. Medium sweet and roasty flavour with coffee in the driver’s seat, also plenty of chocolate, vanilla and caramel. A nice dessert beer.

Brought the 1.5L "Hans Across the Water" version to my parents for Christmas, was a big hit with every one. Big bold dark brown body with large hard to control crown....the pour took forever. Aroma was mildish but descent, roasted malts with sweet coffee, hints of vanilla........or is the beer description screwing with my mind........man did I ever take piss poor notes on this beer. Seriously I’ll have written down five times is coffee, sweet, and roasted malts....I was sober to.....kids running around every where. I did truly enjoy this beer, wish I took better notes I trust my number though.
