A Belgian-Style IPA. The Bitter Woman journeyed to Belgium and returned with a certain je ne sais quoi. A spicy belgian yeast and specialty caramel malts add a whole new dimension of sophistication and style to our favorite Old Lass. Enjoy the Bitter Woman Beglian Style!

The appearance is that of a classic belgium with an apricot color. Upon first drink the hops seem out of place but the balance with the fruit and zest of a belgium is well done. The flavor is complex enough to make a connoisseur pause and think, but the brew is drinkable enough for any adventurous soul to enjoy.

Appears normal enough, very clear and slightly amber hued. The smell lets you know that it is indeed better than normal, very fragrant sweet hops with hints of malt and spice. Mouthfeel is robust and flavor is fruity spicy hops that the scent would make you expect. Very well done beer.

everything in this beer is subtle, especially on the nose, but the sum of the parts is quite nice. juicy hops and a zing of yeast in the aroma. light, and approachable, as is the flavor. complex, but mellow. citrus and floral hops with a dry yeasty finish. good balance. thanks John.

Thanks John P Foxy .. . Pours a dark tawny tan .. good foam, lacing is in living color .. . light bitterness with that light fun belgian yeast- a great example of a belgian IPA .. . mild yet assertive- a switch hitter that bats like a steroided baseball person (yes, all pro baseball people are on steroids and/or have shruckin testicles) .. . SWAN!

From pfoxyjohn. Clear amber orange pour with a medium white head which leaves dots of lacing throughout. Fruity aroma of mangoes and apricots - from the Belgian yeasts - and a light spicy nose. Taste is fruity sweet upfront with the apricot-like flavor upfront then a spicy zesty zing towards the end. I am fond of this style as it imparts great flavors and aromas. Nicely done from a great brewer. Thank you John for sending me this one.

Of all the styles to mesh together, Belgian and IPA is one of my least favorite. Although not a bad beer, I feel the Belgian yeast overwhelms and detracts from what would probably be a good IPA. Perhaps if the spiciness of the yeast were dialed back a bit, I would like this better.

The Alchemy I believe. What a pleasent experience this was to have on tap so recently. Fruit forward, zesty and hoppy. Not too much though. In fact the spice, fruitines and semi sweet nature of this beer make it perfectly enjoyable on only one. No need to have more then 1- 1 is plenty! Great bier!
