First sampling at World of Beer today. A light amber colored beer with a small, frothy textured, off white head. It settles fairly quickly into a moderate sospy ringlet. The profile is light fruit in the nose and apricots and bananas in the tasting. Om fact the bananas leave an after taste. It is light, syripy bodied.

Big thanks to Beerhunter for hooking this up via trade, my first wheatwine was a nice experience. Aroma of fruits (orange, banana, and lemon) some spices as well. Body was a hazy orange, with a few floaters, head was thin and soapy, left some lace. Flavor was bit unexpected (considering the aroma) with a spicy earthiness. Nice full mouthfeel, with a smooth finish. Overall I was plesantly suprised, this was a nice brew, and style. Thanks again to Shawn!

Pours a bright, semi hazey orange colour with a medium sized white head. Great amount of lacing, very sweet aromas, of bananna, oranges, coriander and touch of lemon. nice pleasent, creamy mouthfeel, moderately carbonated, not as sour or tart as most barleywines ive had. I was confused with the barley wine title, but now i understand what a wheatwine is like. Decent.

A bit soapy in the aroma. Nice amber body, but the head is lacking. the alcohol almost unbalances the rest fo the beer. This is lighter and not quite the flavor powerhouse of the other barleywines, but it's got something going for it. It's kind of like a giant hefeweizen and I like it.

I have had both 2001 and 2004 vintages. Both are very similar. Pours a light orange with sediment and a thin light colored head. The aroma is bready with a slight lemony citrus and banana normally found in hefe’s. There is also some deep mushroom and earth. The taste has sweet apples, cherries, vanilla and a smooth orange. The finish is slightly dry. A nice sticky mouthfeel.

2000 version. Orange gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet. Touches of banana and clove. A medium to full bodied Barley wine. Malts are fruity and sweet. Really like a hefe weizen (think banana and clove) Nice smooth finish, touch of oiliness. Nice smooth finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

This beer is honey colored w/ a long lasting bubbly head. It has a nice nose of banana, spices & some other fruit that I can't quite place. The flavor starts out soft & rounded but finishes tingly. It's a nice brew

2003: This brew pours with a cloudy golden body topped by a medium thick to thick, lastin head with a good amount of lacing left behind. The aroma is slightly sweet yet slightly sour with a slight fruitiness. The flavor is slightly bitter and slightly sweet with a alcohol accent. Medium to full bodied, tingly and slightly warming.
