This grand beer packs a wollop. Slight sweetness throughout as the dark roasted malts appear and mingle with the Belgian yeast flavors. Described as saucy and sensuous. “Thirty days from now, we shall have cast our reformation to the winds and gone to cutting our ancient shortcomings considerably shorter than ever.” M. Twain, Jan. 1863

Comes out of the tap a deep, opaque sable with a fine-bubbled tan head - very appetizing. Roast coffee aroma has yeasty undertone and hint of unsweet chocolate. Malty, yeasty flavor has tones of caramel and chocolate and a firm hint of coffee. Texture is smooth, tingly, jazzy and thick - quite satisfying.
