Styrke: 4,6% alkohol.

July 2010: I remember the Danish version as an acceptable lager with some caramel sweetness. Rerate, Norwegian version brewed by Ringnes, 500 ml can: ABV is 4.6%. Golden (deep golden, maybe) colour, moderate white head. Very moderate aroma, hints of malts, boiled vegetables, caramel and dust. The flavour has some malts and a little caramel sweetness, hints of boiled vegetables and baby porridge. Not much to write home about. *I've had the Danish version many, many times, both on tap and from bottle, mainly because it is better than the ordinary Tuborg Grøn or Carlsberg, and is available everywhere.

Clear dark yellow with small white foam head. Aroma and taste are nothing special, even with the Classic it remains a mass produced beer. (Copenhagen 201405)

I had this in Copenhagen, DK, on 09 January 2011. This beer was average (as indicated by my rating). It was a crisp and clean lager, however, with all of the other wonderful beers hanging around in Denmark, I will likely pass on this from here on out.

Bottled (4.5% as Tuborg Classic, brewed by licence at Sinebrychoff, Finland). Deeper golden with small white head that laces slightly. Aroma is buttery and caramelly malts along with some very earthy notes. Flavour is mild buttery with some hints of malts and grassyness. Easy to drink and refreshing, but flavourwise very boring.

The premium version of Tuborg's everyday Grøn. Looks the same - golden in color with a crisp white head. Smells the same - light hoppiness with sweet malt accents. Tastes the same - sweet malty body with a mild finish. Costs more. Seems this is a marketing ploy to increase profits for Tuborg. If it was brewed using better quality ingredients or different techniques I would be surprised.
