(old notes, no date) A standard at triumph, this brown is on the sweet side. Dark brown pour, nutty aromas, and sweet. More like a Moose Drool than a Sam Smiths. Nuts linger and a very light roast; maple, molasses. It’s good, but not very satisfying, not sticky, kind of thin. Brown ales are a weird style.

Really nutty and roasty in flavor. Tasted more like a porter, than a nut brown. Good beer but not one Triumphs best beers. Dark brown in color with a lasting head. Enjoyable.
