My first Mead just leaves me wanting to try more. Not that this was good but I need something to compare it with. Tastes like bad champagne or scrumpy from a farm back home.Very tart apples and lemon. No taste of honey. Dry acidic finish.

Single ceramic bottle, painted somewhat gold, from the LCBO. After just finishing their ginger mead, there is not way this could be worst. Golden colour with a bigger head. Pear and apple aromas at first, but eventually, lots of caramel come out. Thankfully, not as sour as the other one. Caramel, apples and some milder lemon citrus. Gets cloudy like the other, near the last pour. This one is definitely better than their ginger mead, but still, not the best of mead.

The braggot pours a clear medium gold colour with a short-lived white head. Aroma is tart fruit, grains, and weak honey notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, and highly carbonated. Flavour is tart fruit, and furniture polish. Hopefully meads and braggots made by other brewers taste better. -

First shot at mead! Poured in glass, did not deliver much head. Has a medium light brown colour. Extremely carbonated, very strong on carbonation. A sweet tangy mouthfeel. Has a strong citrus aroma. Alcohol is prevalent. Some apples and pears in flavour, almost a cidery taste. Has a strong alcohol aftertaste but not offensive (this one is at 8.5%abv). Pretty good. Would like to try more from different sources.
