Can from the brewpub. Pours a slight hazed golden-amber colour with a nice warm, foamy cap with decent stay and some creamy-soapy lace. Aromas of darker malt grains, like rye at first. Then, some soap-like hops come out to blend things. The taste has the nice cereal malt taste with some caramel hints and the hops adding some bitterness in the finish. Some mild grain and grass lingers. Different for a Pale Ale, as not the typical malts used here, but still ends up being a nice brew overall.

Picked up a 355ml can from the brewpub. Pours a good size frothy off-white head and has a pale golden appearance. Excessive carbonation. Lacing is decent. Aromas are mainly malty and grainy with notes of grassy hops. Flavours are somewhat sweet and grainy malts with some subtle piney and grassy hops in there. Good retention. Fairly well balanced sweetness and bitterness. Not too bad.
