A delicate amount of Maple syrup is added to each barrel of our award winning Maple Nut Brown Ale to impart roasted sweetness. This addition balances the nut flavor produced by Munich caramel and chocolate malts used in the brewhouse, producing a drinkable dark amber ale with a relatively low alcohol content.

Really light generic maple/caramel aroma and flavor with some light roast and a slight medicinal aspect. Not too impressed with this one.............

Brew pours a clear mahogany under a fairly persistent head. A sweet and crisp aroma of toasted biscuity malt yields notes of milk sweetness, light cocoa, maple and roasted nut.

This is an odd review for me. Tonight I went to the local beer garden/pizza shop where they have 23 beers on tap. This was actually my 2nd choice. I ordered a Mikkeller instead, and they served that to me along with a 4oz glass of this beer for free. I have no idea why, although I heard the bartenders mention the name when we were walking in. Anyway, I'm glad I only had to drink 4oz of it. It had a brown color with not much head, but decent lacing. Mildly sweet and nutty aroma and flavor. Medium body with some graininess to it that I didn't like. The sweetness was interesting, but not something I liked in my beer.

Drank from the bottle, thus no "appearance" comments, but I give it the benefit of the doubt and go with "average"... at least I didn't buy this one. Maple aroma is barely perceptable - at least it wasn't overwhelming - that's be nasty... but I expected just a bit more. Sweet that continued to develop until the end becoming almost unbearable.

Dark brown pour with a small head. Aroma of maple (duh!), nuts, and sweet malt. Taste is much the same but gets to be a little too sweet toward the end. A bit watery.

Pours a dark brown with no head what so ever. Aroma is a maple and nuts hence the title. Taste is very bland and very watered down. I'm pouring this one. (note this bottle is about a year and a half old so I might try a fresh one later on)

I was rather impressed with this brew. Has a medium brown semi-cloudy appearance. Carbonation is on the lower side, which brings out the sweeter malty flavors (mostly caramel, maple, and light chocolates). Reminded me of an english-style pub ale.....like a Bass with maple syrup added. I was curious how the maple would work out, but although it is very noticable, I wouldn't say it was overwhelming. Sort of reminded me of pancakes or french toast though, so if you don't like maple or maple syrup this isn't for you. Only bought a single to try out, but may buy a 6'er if the price is right. Good daytime beer.

Aroma of maple syrup, malts, and a little nuttiness. Deep brown body with a thin cap, that leaves decent lace. Mouthfeel was rather watery, flavor was kinda off with slight hints of chocolate, nuts, and maple, but then the water takes over. Overall its not a bad beer, it needs a little more body and flavor.

It is hard to tell what this beer looks like, what with I was drinking it out of a brown bottle. However, it does have an interesting smell, more like maple syrup than beer. Fortunately, the maple flavor does not overwhelm the ale taste; in fact, there is just a whisper of maple. The ale flavor is strong and without bitterness, and it feels very smooth. Not outstanding, but very drinkable.
