Even though brad wrote this review in 2006, he just followed up my mt. begbie nasty habit review with a description of his underwear.... trend? Anyways, Im not wearing underwear at the moment, just chillin in the jammers drinking chardonnay (cedar creek reserve 2007, BC, CA 4.1stars). Just finished the peach cream ale with fennel cardomon mt balls and lemon oil on the early salad leaves from the garden. Pretty fantastic food/beer pairing. Anyways, lots of peach and apricot on the aroma, bit of lightly sweet malt. Slightly dry flavour and a bit watery, but extremely chuggable. The simple and diminutive profile of the beer benefited the food marvelously, but on its own it wasn't amazing. My only real flaw/complaint is that the head is great on pour but it dissaptes and leaves absolutely no carbonation at all. I bought this from the brewery last week, it was in a hot car in transit, but that sucks. Otherwise good though!

It's summer time, it one billion degree's in my condo, I'm sweating as I watch T.V. so lets see what cool refreshing brew awaits for me in the fridge, mmmmm.... I think a ice cold peach flavored fruit beer should do the trick. The beer looks very nice sitting in my glass, the body is a deep hazy copper with a thin layer of thick white bubbles that won't go away caps off this brew, I feel like I"m in a beer commercial I got the A.C. cranked I'm sitting in my underwear and I just poured the perfect looking pint complete with condensation running down the side of my glass. The smell is very pleasant a good malty base high lighted with apricots, the peach and apricot smell was perfect it didn't over power the the beer like some other fruit beers, it just let you know there where peaches in the brew but left enough beer smell so that you knew it was still a beer. Dam I should just have looked and smelt the beer, one sip in and I already disappointed, extremely watery taste, very week malt flavor, even the peach / apricot flavor is watered down. It's almost as if they had a great tasting beer and wanted more but instead of making a new batch they just added more water to the batch to make more beer. This not surprisingly has a very thin watery mouth feel to it. As I drank the beer the smell seemed to get less crisp and seem to get as diluted as the flavor, but its strange every tenth sip I seem to hit a pocket of good flavor, but then for the next nine I can't find it again. Diffently not a memorable beer, its just very bla.......

Poured a pale honey color, orange hints around the edge of the glass. Thick, bright white head of foam that shrinks, but never quite disappears all the way. Good carbonation throughout. Nice smell of peaches, strong but not overpowering, mixed with maltiness (rather than a grassy or grainy aroma). Taste is full of peaches, but again, not overpowering. Light taste and mouthfeel, does not leave a sticky or sugary film. Dry finish with just a touch of fruitiness in the aftertaste. Easy to drink, would be quite refreshing on a hot day.

This was a slight disappointment, compared to other the fruit beers I've tried. Poured nicely with a lovely aroma; slight cloudiness. But, the taste was just not as "fruity" as expected and mouthfeel was on the light side. Still, not a bad beer.
