I really thought this beer was wierd. Bitter, honey, sweet, some burnt characteristics. Bit sour, seems to be a bit off balance....cherry... just really not something I dig, but I still value the uniqueness of it I suppose...

650 ml brown bottle, as in picture above. Pours the color of cola, chunky and frothy tan head, left some thin chunks of lacing. Toasted malt smell, light coffee with some bitterness. The flavour is good for the style, mix of sweet and bitter. Couldn't quite get used to the sour aftertaste. The mouthfeel is a bit thin and watery. Overall a pretty generic representation. Good, but nothing to make it shine. I would search out some of Tin Whistle's other offerings before having this again.

This beer pours a very dark brown almost black with a hint of red around the outside edges of the glass, the cap was non existent I even tried to produce some by doing a straight dump into my glass but no head could be made. The beer smells very strange to me for the style, sweet taffy and vanilla is what I notice most. The taste was strange, very sour with hints of cherries there was also a diffanent smoked flavor to it, there might be some smoked malts involved. The flavor seems held back and masked by the sourness of the beer but yet it didn't feel dry. And I also can't figure out why the smell is completely different then the taste. Not a bad brew but I don't think I'll be picking it up again.

A very nice dark (brown?) ale, but sadly, no information from the brewer on the label. Good pour and aroma; clear appearance, and quite acceptable taste. I'd drink this again.
