Crisp and citrusy, this India Pale Ale derives its atypical dark copper brown color from malted chocolate wheat. Heavily hopped, the Chocolate Orange IPA’s bitterness blends with the dark chocolate flavors of the cocoa nibs added during fermentation. Those subtle chocolate notes rest behind a floral bouquet, enhanced by additions of bitter orange peel and dry hopping with Citra.

A deep mahogany colored beer with a big frothy textured light beige head rising above. There's good hang time on the head. And a thick film and thinner ringlet are left in lacing. The orange and chocolate are strong in the nose. The citric hops are upfront in the tasting. The chocolate and orange are in the rear palate as this warms to room temperature. Slick and oily on the palate

Pours a clear, dark, slightly reddish cola brown with a fairly thick light tan head. Hoppy, woody aroma has a strong overtone of orange and hints of chocolate and roast malt. Flavor fills the mouth with woody hops, orange, roast malt, coffee, earthy and nutty notes plus more than a hint of cocoa. Soo-perb! Texture is firm and smooth, just not too fizzy. Get cast away with a keg of this.
