Øllet er inspireret af de engelske brown ales, men er alligevel helt sin egen. Alen er gæret med hele tre forskellige slags overgær, og det giver en let, raffineret og krydret aroma. Smagen er fyldig og lidt maltsød med en interessant node af frisk bitterhed.

Dark ruby red with very small light brown foam head. Aroma is mostly caramel, taste bit too sweet, some bread. Aftertaste is bit sour, not nice. (Velp 201310)

330 ml bottle, probably from Dagli’brugsen Skødstrup, as Thisted Brown Ale Nr. 1. ABV is 6.9%. Ingredients include sugar, liquorice and antioxidants E300 and E223. Very dark brown to ruby colour, large and creamy tan head. Very malty aroma with strong notes of caramel. The flavour is also very malty, notes of caramel and liquorice, hints of mild Christmas spices. Very modest bitterness.
