- Some family members of Ronkedor. The old master brewer has used an older method with heated lava stones to his last top-fermented beer. The stones lowered into the wort, and formed a karamellag around the stones, which then placed in storage tank. Caramel released to the beer during the long cold secondary fermentation, and the method provides, with an explosion of hop nuances, a unique aromatic characteristics to the beer. Black Ale has an alcohol percentage of 8.2.

Pitch black with lacing light brown foam head. Aroma is bit weak coffee, counter to the taste. Strong bitter coffee taste with roasted nuts, herbs. Aftertaste is long lasting bitter cold coffee. (Velp 201308)

330 ml bottle, from Dagli’brugsen Skødstrup. ABV is 8.2%. Black colour, moderate head of good retention. Pleasant aroma of fruity hops and dark malts with some roasty notes of mild coffee, hints of caramel. Rich flavour, dark malts with some initial sweetness, then roasty coffee notes with a hint of liquorice, moderate bitterness in the finish.
