750 ml capped bottle, bbf 06/16, bought at the brewery. Poured in the original Thiriez stemmed tulip glass an unfiltered and light hazy golden-yellow coloured DIPA with a one finger almost white and soapy foamy head that had a long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Sustained carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is sweety grainy malts, toasted bread, flowery, roses, fruity with a blend of sauces, apples-pears-quinces, honeyish notes and a prononced sourish feeling like for a fruit Lambic, herbal hops. The flavour is sweety malts, honey, riped fruits, quinces, oranges, grapefruits, powerful flowery, roses and resinous hops. The mouthfeel is crispy, thick, light syrupy and smooth. The texture is oily. This medium to full bodied DIPA has a lingering and amazing-bewitching flowery and resinous finish. This Dava Millésimée is not easy drinkable. Although I can't detect any oak tones, except the sourish notes, this Dalva, aged for one year in oak barrel is basically different from the regular Dalva. Thanks, Daniel, for this rare moment !
