Double India Pale Ale. "India Pale Ale" est un style de bière né en Angleterre au XVIIIème siécle. Destinée à voyager loin et longtemps, cette bière était plus forte et surtout plus houblonnée pour assurer sa conservation. Plus puissantes et plus aromatiques encore, les " double IPA " font revivre cette tradition. DALVA est l'interprétation personnelle de Daniel Thiriez. " Une seule bouteille de bière suffit à engendrer un flot de grandes pensées... " Jim Harrison, Dalva. Ingrédients : eau, malt, houblons, sucre, levures, et rien d'autre; contient du malt d'orge. Bière non filtrée, sur lie.

Opaque orange yellow with off white lacing foam head. Aroma is nice hoppy, citrus present too. Likewise taste, good bitter beer with some citrus notes. Lasting bitter in aftertaste. (Velp 201408)

330 ml capped bottle. Poured an unfiltered and hazy dark amber-chesnut coloured DIPA with a sumptuous three fingers light beige dense and pillowy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Active carbonation. Great lacing. The aroma is rich, floral hops, strong overriped fruits, pineapples, citrus, a pronounced alcoholic feeling and a touch of smoke. The flavour is deep floral and resinous hops, dried fruits, heavy walnuts, aciditic fruits, citrus, pineapples, sweety toasted malts, caramel. The mouthfeel is fulled, thick, syrupy and nice bitter. This full bodied DIPA has a lingering dried fruits and hoppy bitter finish. Daniel, your interpretation of a DIPA is very interesting, even convincing. I like it. Thanks for the good job!
