Older batch (got a fresh one waitin in the wings to compare). More tart than sweet currants up front and center. Tart and refreshing, with a good layer of funk and light grain. Would be a great summer brew, especially.

Sampled from bottle, thanks to Travis. Pours murky pink, like a ruby red grapefruit with a collared head. Bright fruit aroma that does not reveal the complex flavor profile to come. Balanced and sour (lacto) with the currants balancing the lacto. Just a hint of nutty-wheat graininess peeking through. Light-bodied and moderately high carbonation. If all fruit beers were this interesting, I'd drink more of them.
