hmm, a half way normal beer from the Bruery .. . pours a deep tan .. medium foam, great lacing .. . light caramel and sweet wood .. . basic light mouth, light stickiness .. . not enough for me, like a regular bock, just stickier .. . . The Big Brain am winning again! I am the greetest! Ha ha ha ha ha! Now, I am leaving Earth, for no raisin.

Sampled on 10/15/2011. This Heller bock pours a deep orange gold color from a 750ml bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head, with decent lacing and nice retention. The aroma is caramel, fruity, sweet, and bready. Medium bodied heller bock. The malts are fruity, caramel and sweet. The hops are earthy and floral. Decent carbonation. Nice balance. Slightly dry and hoppy at the finish after starting out kind of sweet and fruity. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

what a nice change of pace this was. sweet leaning, with the oaking evident in flavor and aroma, adding an additional layer of complexity to an already complex brew. bready malts, wood, delicate hops. lively mouthfeel, making a lasting impression. I'd definitely get this again if i saw it.
