Belgian-style ale, golden and hoppy. Not quite evil, yet not to be trusted, this Golden Ale is effervescent, dry, hoppy and crisp-you’ll want to keep an eye out. (ABV: 8.5%, IBU: 35, SRM: 4, Format: 750 mL bottles and draft) [formerly Mischief #3, this is now the bottled version]

I’m presuming the bottle I have is the 2016 vintage, though the label has no information on it. Upon opening not a real pop. But, it poured a nice frothy white head, which held up quite longer than typically expected. Clear golden body. Aromas of wet grass. Salty flavor, with shades of bitter citrus. Normal mouth feel and a bitter aftertaste on the palate. Not bad. But, not a favorite either.

750 with very nice looking label pouring up clear deep gold with copper hues and one inch off white head. The aroma has sweet notes of orange and grapefruit blending into Belgian yeasty spices and ripe red apples. The taste is smooth and refreshing where assertive orange and grapefruit hop flavor take center stage with modest levels of yeasty spice and ripe red apples carve out a pleasing supporting role. I get no sense of the ABV. I’m not a Belgian IPA style fan unless it is way IPA like this one. Very tasty brew with lots of apple and citrus flavor and almost no hop bitterness.
