Darker orange. Big and thick pine oj and lots and lots of rye and malt. And alcohol. A little malty for my tastes for an imperial IPA. Hoppy but sweet and spicy too. Not sure of the age.

Pours a clear, coppery amber with a thick and rather persistent pale buff head. Aroma is decidedly hoppy, and has a strong rye tone throughout plus some fruity hints. Bold flavor has a hoppy core that supports rye and malty tones plus hints of wood, caramel and fruit, the latter mostly citrus but having a snip of banana. Firm texture has a nice fizz to it, not strong but persistent so you feel it going all the way downstairs. A bold and seriously tasty IPA.

A clear, bright copper colored beer with a thin, off-white head. Not much hang time and a moderate ringlet is soon left. Rye and grassy, toasted grains in the nose. A rye, pepper, bready malt and some fruit tropical notes in the tasting. Moderate body, effervescent.
