If ever there was a "cherry vanilla" beer, this would be it. Both cherry and vanilla can be detected in the aroma, with a bit of citrus. This follows right into the taste as well, combined with a hint of pine and some caramel malts. Coming in at 9.0 ABV this high-gravity brew pours a translucent bronze color with a nice, foamy head with good lacing. A nice-looking beer!

On tap at the Brick Store. This Imperial IPA pours a medium amber color. Small sized white foamy head, with good lacing and nice retention. The aroma is oak, hops and malts. A medium to full bodied Imperial IPA. The malts are caramel and sweet, touch of oak and vanilla. Hops are piney and grapefruity. Hints of oak and a touch or vanilla. Those flavors really balance the hop bitterness. Good carbonation. The barrel aging really adds a nice dimension to this beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter with some vanilla at the finish.
