Wild Plum Farmhouse Ale is a crisp, slightly tart, and uniquely refreshing beer. An infusion of wild plums, hand-picked at a genuine farmhouse, gives this beer a light tangy fruit flavor. The perfect summer companion. Farmhouse ales are also known as “saisons” (French for seasonal), a style of summer beers traditionally brewed by Belgian farmers to serve farm workers as part of their wages. Not a bad deal, if you can get it. Wild Plum is available each summer, June through July.

    Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 3

Pours a semi clear light amber with a massive 5 finger head that will not go down without a fight. Carbonation is extensive. Aroma is typical of a saison with hints of of that Belgian yeast, malts, and sweet fruits. Taste is very metallic, almost tastes like the can itself. I hope I got a bad or old can. The best by date is a little over a month away yet but they may have got it wrong. Will review again with a fresher can someday.
