I remember this from back in the day but hadn't had one in a LONG time til the other day. Not turrible. Not a masterpiece. It's almost nostalgic for me, so it probably tastes better than it really was. Not just pee water. Definitley the classic "beery" smell and taste of my youth.

I remember this Fired Brewed beer from 1980. I think you must have lived in Detroit in order to appreciate this beer. I think the main reason I tried it was because Klinger in MASH used to speak about it.

Pours a light straw color, quickly fading white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is faint but of grain, corn and some hops. The taste is grainy in the middle and finishes with a bit of hops. Nice to actually have hops in there, finishes slightly dry. Mouthfeel is light and highly carbonated, refreshing if served ice cold. An okay beer, better than the average macro but not better than anything else.

The only thing worse than this beer is this beer served warm. It really brings to life the term "skunky". It's passable if you drink a lot of them really quickly, other than that it isn't even worth boiling your brats in.

Another watered down brew...another in a long line of sadly overdone pale lagers that has taken this style of beer and reduced it to swill for the masses. No real "flavor" to speak of.

Not a bad cheap beer when you are on a budget. Does not give hangovers as easily as Red Dog and tastes OK even after it gets warm. I drank this beer many times on a high school budget - we were very glad to discover it because it was a comparable price to crap like Black Label but it tasted much better.

It's a solid performer. Not outstanding - no grand hoppiness, maltiness or some other such nonsense - just a good beer to have when you're done with yard work, changing the oil, etc. It's good - not great - beer.

I am very surprised i have not rated this beer yet, it is an old time favorite from the days of my youth. my dad used to buy it allot when I was about 18-21 and we used to get it for free because of that. Has a good clean beer aroma, with a little of that corny smell in there but it is not offensive at all. This is from a 16 oz can that cost me 60 cents. Decent clean lager flavor with very little perceivable negative attributes. Not bad for a session beer, goes down easy on a hot summer day. No bitterness per se. Good friendly fun and easy to slug, not bad for a cheap beer. I think it still has some of that old stroh character that I remember way back then when it was a separate brewery. Finish is acceptable and gentleman~like. not bad, glad I finally bought a case, it’s been a long time! I guess strohs light is next, heheheh.

Its your average American beer, the only reason i gave it a 7 for overall is due to the fact that it is only 6.00 bucks for a 15 pack of these, its the only beer i know that comes in a 15 pack. Plus i have herd rumors in some intercity/lower income areas around where i live it is a buck 1.50 or slightly higher for a 6 pack, now thats a deal.

Overall this is an average beer alright. There is really no flavor, serve it ice cold and if you have a quality beer to drink first that is good. Use these for chasers. Drink them fast.
