I was really surprised when this was as fantastic as it was. Had on tap the opening night of Killer Beer Week at Roscoe's Portland. Really quite bitter, piney resinous hops. Touch of fancy yeast, barrel aging was strong on the nose at the start but sunk into the beer like you do after a hard day sinking into some really fluffy freshly laundered sheets. The beer really absorbed it, and it added a really great body not present in the base beer. A degree or two temperature gain and the beer gets better!; becoming a big bodied complex IPA style beer with yeasty dimensions. A 20 dimensional beer thats for sure, and they all compliment and work with each other. Brewing at this caliber is uncommon.
