12oz-er pours gold with thin white head. The aroma is full on floral to the extent of being at a department store perfume counter and ordering up the rose pedal special ‘man catcher’ musk. It also has mild yeasty spices and a dash of lemon grass well underneath the perfumy aromatic onslaught. The taste is just as flowery as well as a bit acidic and then picking up a lime juice like sensation as well as a sense of herbalineess. This is a little too perfumy – lime for my tastes. Interesting though.

A cloudy yellow colored beer. A medium, frothy textured white head rises above. Some hang time, though not impressively so. It does settle into a thick ringlet. Lemonade in the nose. The tasting the same with some grassy notes. Nice smoothness.

Just moved to VA and there is no better way to acclimate to an area than trying local beers. Picked up a sixer of this beauty at a gas station. The pour is light golden with thin white head. The aroma is very malty and hides the subtle flavors and aromas that are underneath, but if you sniff hard you can pick up a delightful citrus note. The beer is crisp and clean in the mouth with a wide variety of flavors. I tasted lemon, lime, wheat, and a little bitterness on the sides of the tongue. Overall this beer is a good summer ale and I look forward to more from the Starr Brewing Company of Charlottesville, VA.
