Queen of Wheat is a classic Belgian-style white beer brewed with hints of succulent peach and generous amounts of soft Canadian wheat to create a smooth mouthfeel. The noble hops and wheat yeast give a zesty, citrusy fruitiness with floral and spicy aromatics. One sip will have beer lovers saying “Yas, Queen!” Queen of Wheat joins forces with activist and drag performer Rowena Whey and The Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity (CCGSD) to offer a portion of the proceeds from sales of each case to support CCGSD’s education efforts. We are proud to have helped Rowena Whey become the first Drag Queen ever to be pictured on a beer can sold at the LCBO

Pours a pale golden yellow with small white head that stays for a while. The aroma is light fruit and bread notes. The taste is mildly bready, hoppy, and slight fruit. The mouthfeel is light with nice carbonation.

Very slight tiny particles, but all-around clean, light-golden with a white bubbly head, decent stay and lacing. Banana wheat nose with a nice touch of hops that cut the sweetness-fruitiness. A good herbal touch. This continues into the flavours, but the richness is a little more here. Lingers a tad more than I wish. Some light haziness appears. All-in-all, a decent wheat beer with a nice balance of hops.

The beer poured a hazy straw gold colour with a generous frothy white cap that overflowed the glass. Lacing was surprisingly minimal. The aroma was wheat, vomit, and light banana notes. Certyaonly less than inviting. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is dominated by the wheat malt with light sweet notes and yeast in the background. There is very little bitterness in the finish
