Pours copper brown color with just a wisp of a head. The aroma is suttle not much of anything. The mouthfeel is just barely average. The taste is okay but nothing special.

I dunno....could go either way, varying between 7-8 on the categories. Not the biggest fan of winter warmers. This seems too sweet and a little too spicy. Has some heat on the back end, from the cinnamon/ginger, etc. Quality beer though and gets you buzzed!

Dark brown with beige head. Aroma is loaded wifh ginger and cinnamon. A big ol pine tree too. Flavor is spicy and malty. This beer is Anchor OSA times two. Overall a really good and big beer, I dig it.

Someone put beer in my pepper! My God, I thought Thirsty Dogs 12 Dogs of Christmas was way over the top, but Southern Tier 2XMAS is just insanely riddled with and intense hop and spice mixture that goes beyond that of 12 dogs. On the tongue and in the nose. There seems to be no balance between the two. I tasted ridiculous amounts of pepper. Pepper Pepper, Spice and Pepper. Man, that was enough for me. I almost didn't finish it. German Gluwein is more mellow and balanced than this. I think this Christmas season, I will be drinking my Crème Brulee.

Pours a reddish gold color with hints of orange with a small head, not even enough for any lacing. Sort of disappointing. The aroma was sweet caramel malts with figs, raisins and orange peel. The taste was like a fruitcake in a glass. It was very sweet (verging on cloying) with figs and chewy raisins. The orange zest really helped save this beer and brought it back into somewhat balance. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Dark amber pour with a tan head. Definitely smells of Christmas baking spices with a hint of fruitiness. Taste is much the same but with bready, caramel malt to go with the spices. Pretty typical spiced beer.

Pours a deep ruby amber, nice head, some lacing. Christmas spiced aromas of slight cinnamon, some clove, caramel, very slight spruce, ripe fruits, all of this but still subdued enough not to be overpowering. Taste follows the nose although flavor is more malty and lightly sweetened than the nose would indicate. Excellent Holiday/Christmas brew. Nice surprise that I got to try it too.

Pours a clear mahogany - not much head, but that has to be due to the pour, and it does leave some generous lacing. Strong aroma has an overtone of cloves and horehound. Flavor has a subtle malty core and strong notes of cloves, caramel and horehound with a hint of cinnamon - and is that a whisper of pumpkin? Firm texture has plenty of lively fizz, leaving a cloves-y and horehound finish. Merry Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/Winter Solstice/Festivus/Human Light or whatever!

Amber brown pour producing a quarter inch tan head and lots of spotty lacing. Smooth and unassuming to the strength with a nice profile of toned down spices. Ginger, nutmeg, etc.....this beer contains the typical spice medley followed by a healthy dose of caramel, bread, fruits and raisins. Good example of a style that is generally overdone.
