Brewed with the West Coast in mind, this Extra Pale Ale is loaded with Citra Hops that come at you from all angles not dissimilar from the delicious Quadrophonic sounds from your favourite 8 Track cartridge in the HIFI! With a citrus punch up front followed by a smooth laidback finish, check your equalizer because this is not a mono beer; 8 Track XPA is full stereo!

Hazy golden-yellow colour with particles of different sizes, a frothy warm cap, great retention and some patchy lace. Fresh Citra hop aromas with a nice balance between the citrus juices and grassy notes. The taste is a little of the same with milder citrus and grassy hops, almost like oat calms things down. A decent dryness is found in the finish. A pretty nice juicy American Pale Ale... West Coast style.

The beer pours a hazed medium gold colour with a foamy white head that lasts a minute or two. The aroma is tropical fruit, stale grass, herbal hops and…..cheese? Not sure what to make of the aroma but that cheese smell takes away from everything. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grass, tropical fruit, and herbal hops. In fact, I enjoy the flavour. It wouldn’t be a “go to” beer, but I would never turn one down.
