Our American version of the popular wheat beers of Germany, this refreshing, flavorful brew draws smoothness and complexity from the contribution of 50 percent malted wheat. Light gold in color and throwing a snow-white creamy head, this brew is only lightly hopped and is naturally cloudy with a slight veil of brewer's yeast.

Draft from Smoky Mountain Brewery - Turkey Creek. Color was a hazy medium yellow orange with a thin head and some nice lacing. Good carbonation. Aromas of wet wheats, light citrus fruits - lemon and oranges- with slight black pepper and coriander mixed in. Taste is wheaty and very slightly yeasty with a orange, coriander and pepperness and little hops. Refreshing.

I should have known when it came to the table with the slice of lemon hanging on the glass. A very cloudy beer, with very mild wheat flavor. Little to no head. The aroma was that of lemons simply because it was served with it. I tried it first without the lemon and found it to be very near bland. After adding the lemon, it was better. Not much flavor to speak of. A decent summer brew, but probably more appealing to the masses.
