Drawing on the legend of the Sleeping Giant and Silver Islet, our cold weather offering is not brewed to be avoided and make you turn back to shore. In keeping with our other daily drinking beers, our Skullrock Stout is imminently drinkable pint after pint, even for stout first timers. Slightly sweet with a richly roasted grain and chocolate flavour the oats make their presence known in the uniquely smooth silkiness of our beer. The Skullrock’s profile is complex with 6 different malts and toasted oats, and balanced by a single aromatic English hop addition. Enjoy our oatmeal stout from fall through winter.

Pours a dark brown colour with lots of amber highlights. The head is huge, warm beige, long lasting with creamy lace. Roasted malt aromas with cocoa powder and molasses. After a while, apples notes come out as well. The taste shows a little chocolate with the roasty malts lingering. Decent hops create a nice dryness. Still, lots of apples in here. Not the Oatmeal Stouts I am use to.

This beer defines the definition of average. It’s a good looking coca-cola colour with a thin tight creamy tan head. There isa a lot of roasted malt and oats in the aroma with hints of chocolate, enough to make you want more. The flavours aren’t as bold as I would like with the roasted malt hiding the oats and chocolate notes
