Bottle-from memory, this one is lacking. Having only had the hoperandi, which is pretty damn good, before this one, I had high hopes. The nuttiness is there as is lightly roasted malts and a little chocolate. All the right pArts, but it just doesn't come Together as well - a little boring

Mid brown body, thin fizzy head, no lacing. Aroma and flavors were very light with hints of maple syrup and roasted nuts. Mouthfeel was thin and overcarbonated, overall a little below average brown.

It pours a dark brown/mahogany with a thin light-tan head and surrounding lacing. An aroma of roasted malts and nuts, caramel, light chocolate and coffee, some orange, bitterness, and light spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth, thick, and rich. Flavors of roasted malts and nuts, caramel, coffee, chocolate, orange, bitterness, and spiciness. Awesome ... enjoyable!

6:07pm on 4/14/09 @ The Casa, me casa del Licko .. thanks Matt, pours with a big cream head, swollen thumb height .. . old cereal and mud aromas .. . funny name for a brew .. . simple, base bottom line stuff .. . light nuttiness, and maybe some light molasses... nice aftertaste but the whole beer is way WAY to dumbed down ... now to go milk that cow in my closet ..

Whoa, the aroma is smack-you-in-the-face bad. lol. like a sewer hole in NYC where the steam rises up and you try to stay away from it cause you’re afraid you’ll smell all day if you walk over top of it... that kind of bad. The appearance is thin and watery with some light brown/amber colors. The flavors arent too bad though. Some maple syrup and nutty flavors, along with some toffee and chocolate undertones. Lots of carmel, decent malts. Mouthfeel isn’t bad but it’s way overcarbonated and thin.

WTF is with the aroma on this. It smells like I took Rover for a walk to do his business and I bent over to smell the results. Worst aroma ever! A reddish brown appearance with a light head. The flavor contains some caramel and a hint of dark chocolate. Watery thin palate. Despite the cool gangster graffiti looking label, this beer is worthless.

You really don't have to look hard to find a better nut brown than this. Ska put more effort into their grotesque labels than their beer. Thin, sweet, metallic, bland. Sorry, but this just isn't very good at all. And those labels make me twitch.

Dark brown color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is caramel malts slightly sweet. A medium bodied brown ale. Malts are nutty and sweet. Hops are slightly bitter. A little thin tasting and the flavors kind of dissipate quickly. There is also a touch of cardboard here as well. Not a great effort. Drinkable, but nothing very notable of interesting. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

The Buster Nut poured a dark reddish brown, with a smallish fizzy head that quickly went down to a small top. It has a very nice roasted malt aroma with chocolate and coffee mixed in - almost like a porter. The taste was kind of bland - malty and acidic up front with a sweetish malty finish. As it warms, more malty nuttiness comes out. It had a kind of watery mouthfeel. Overall, a decent drinking brown, but nothing special.
