Our friends at Oskar Blues pioneered great beer in a can and, as mutual members of the canned craft club, this partnership was a perfect fit. CANfusion is a coming together—a fusion, if you will—of flavors from across the spectrum of brewing: spicy rye, tangy wheat and a bright citrusy hop aroma. Oskar Blues is the granddaddy of canned craft beer. Like us, they have a fun-loving passion for the outdoors and bikes. It was a natural fit for them to adopt cans as a portable, durable way to tote their favorite beer on the trail, and in the process they paved the way for all other craft brewers to follow.

Comes out of the tap an appetizing golden amber with a thick and fine-bubbled buff head. Aroma has firm rye and woody hop notes, with a fruity underpinning. Rye, hay, and woody hops swim over the palate, leaving fruity and subtle earthy notes in their wake. Don’t be can-fused - down a crater today!

Sampled on 12/24/14. This dopplebock pours a dark amber orange color from a 12oz can. Large sized off white foamy head with good retention and long lasting lacing. The aroma is bready, fruity and sweet, with some chocolate. Medium bodied dopplebock. The malts are bready and sweet, some semi-sweet chocolate and some rye spiciness. The hops are herbal and earthy. Decent carbonation. Nice balance, rye kind of balances the malt sweetness. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

A bright amber colored beer with a big frothy textured off white head rising above. There's good hang time on the head. It settles into splotches of thick film, a thi9n ringlet and a persistent cap. Spicy rye in the nose Bitter and sweet in the tasting. Nice complexity of caramel malt, spicy rye, some sweeting from fruit and an earthy grassiness. Full bodied.

12 oz can. Pours clear light copper amber with a huge creamy off white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is subdued - bready rye with a little fruit.

The flavor is rye and sweet nutty malts and a little sweet caramel and fruit. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a solid rye beer, but not much of a bock.

Barely bock ish....definitely wouldn't call it a dopplebock, but what do I know. I liked the hops and the rye but the combo in a bock didn't quite work as well as if hoped. Part of it was some over carbonation that affected the body and therefore the flavor. Nice enough, but surprisingly my least favorite of 7 so far.

I wish this CAN be available year round! Solid beer and good representation of the style. Malty, bready, with some light fruit flavors. Rye is light, so not too sweet. Balanced a bit towards the tropical hop notes, yet enough malt to keep that bock flavor and feel. Crisp with great texture. Another winner from the 2014 Beer Camp Across America.
