Hitachino Nests most popular beer is their White Ale, so it was a natural starting point for this collaboration. We opted to add hops (as we are known to do) and made a white IPA based on the flavor profile of the White Beer. Kiuchi suggested incorporating the use of yuzu (a small Asian citrus fruit) into the brew, and we found the bright lime-like tartness perfectly accentuated the flavors of hops and the spicy notes of the classic witbier yeast.

Seen a bunch of yuzu brews coming out, but this is the first I’ve tried. A hybrid white ale-fruity IPA. Not overpowering and works quite well. Has a clear light to medium yellow appearance with a white head that lingers. Crisp feel up front with a creamy/frothy texture at the end. Another good beer camp collaboration.
