Beer Camp Across America West Coast Double IPA clocks in at 8.5% ABV and features five hop varieties, two of which went into Sierra Nevada’s “Hop Torpedo” dry-hopping device and impart hints of grapefruit and a floral note that recalls orange blossom. A light malt body and dry finish complement the bold hop profile.

Pours a clear, bubbly solar yellow with a thick and rather persistent ivory head. Hoppy aroma has a firm fruity underpinning, mainly citrus with some pomme and berry. Flavor is boldly hoppy, mostly resiny, rather bitter but not fiercely so, with nice malty and fruity notes. Texture is somewhat firm and lightly fizzy. I hope that I can catch more of the Beer Camp releases.

A clear, bright golden colored beer with a big frothy textured off white head rising above. There's excellent hang time on this head. And the lacing is thick puffs of long lasting film, ringlet and cap. The lacing lasts throughout. Sweet and bitter blend so well in citric hops, sweet fruit and bready malt. Crisp, sessionably easy to drink.

A big, but not too big, imperial IPA. Quite floral with some grapefruit but also some cat-peed-on-my-tree hops that I like :) Not a ton of sweetness or malt. Big flavor but doesn't drink heavy. Slightly dry. Nice start to Beer Camp.
