This American strong ale brings the interplay between expressive malts and hops quite somewhere else – heaps of Citra, Chinook and Idaho7 mingle with the deep ruby base to create an explosion of wild strawberries backed by strawberry jam with dark caramel.

500 ml can, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 8.5%. Hazy brown colour, large off-white head. Aroma of caramel / burnt sugar and orange marmalade. Flavour again of burnt sugar (too much?), bitter orange marmalade and grapefruit. Bitter finish and aftertaste.
