This beer sounds too good to believe, but it’s exactly that. Attempted last year as a new concept beer, it has already been remade twice, and there are plans to distribute a limited amount in six packs. Made w/ fresh limes, milk sugar, graham cracker, and marshmallow fluff we were able to recreate this popular dessert into a heavenly drinkable version. A Gold Medal Winner at the 2010 GABF.

Another Shorts bottle from BigMagicBeer from KnoxBeerCrew; this one was a non-listed Wish List Item: lightly murky copper pour with an initially tall but very Short-lived head, not much lacing. Nice big sour aroma at first, then sweet, like the advertised graham crackers, limes and lemons; This really does smell like Key Lime Pie! Taste is also sour-forward, but not overwhelmingly so, light like, well, like Key Limes, then sweetish, a touch of brown sugar, more of those darned graham crackers... What a neat beer! Really really tasty and different. I can see where this one was a Huge Hit at GABF. Loved it!

Sampled at GABF on 9/17/2010. The fruit beer pours a medium amber copper color from the tap. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is malty, sweet, lime and bready. A medium bodied fruit beer. The quick description of this beer is that it taste just like Key Lime Pie, semi-sweet lime, graham crackers and whip cream. Malts are fruity, sweet and lime. Nice carbonation. Amazing. Weird for a beer but it works. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Poured a lighter amber with little or no head and minimal lacing. Nose is boozy sweetness, with cinnamon and graham cracker. Taste definitely has some lactose with elements of breadiness, citrus and sourness (lemon?). This is pretty sweet but tempered by the tartness of lime. Interesting. Body is thinner, carbonation light and feel is creamy. I couldn't drink a lot of this but Key Lime Pie is certainly what they achieved here.
