Pours out a dark chocolate brown color. The aroma is very faint and mild. The mouthfeel is a little thin but not bad. The taste is mostly chocolate and vanilla. I can't pick up on the coconut, spices or coffee. Still a pretty good beer glad I tried it. By the way I had the 2014 edition.

I bought this beer the first time on a whim, based on the info on the label. It was and has always been a good choice. Not quite a dessert beer, but could pass as one. Mildly sweet, full mouthfeel, cocoa, spices, cinnamon, vanilla, all well balanced. I'm thinking this one may disappear some day as it's a fundraiser limited edition.

Bottle share from Sam. Dark brown pour, tight head, some lacing. Caramel and vanilla sweetened coffee upfront, then chocolate, hint of cinnamon, toffee... pretty much a big ole sweet beer, but somewhat drinkable. Rich and heavy for certain.

Feels heavier than 8%. Aroma is of alcohol and fruit. Shmaltz characteristics take over in this colab. Tastes like some of their 13-15% beers, but not as sweet and lighter so more drinkable. Balanced out with the chocolate malt traits of Terrapin. Cloudy dark brown appearance with a light brown frothy head, that sticks around with good lacing. Towards the end I get some heat from the cinnamon,...but like the cinnamon-stick kind of flavor and feel. Not sure I'd get this again because of the price, but I would try this at least once.

Strong aroma has notes of powdery semi-sweet chocolate, roast malt, coffee and licorice. Pours a clear sienna with a fairly thick, though not overly persistent, light tan head. Delightful flavor has caramel, chocolate, roast coffee, earthy, nutty and subtle licorice notes. It is also a little sweet, but has an almost peppery tone that balances the sweetness. Smooth texture is firm, thick, and fairly fizzy. Dear Terrapin: Please do more collabs!

Deep brown pour with medium-sized light-tan head. Aroma is sweet with vanilla, coffee, chocolate and maybe a touch of brown sugar. Flavor is surprisingly drier than expected with lots of vanilla, coffee, a dusty cocoa bitterness, and a slight cinnamon spice hint at the finish. The body seems thin for the spice and abv. Decent flavors and the spices are not overdone, worth a try.
