Happy Holidays from the "Little Brewery" in Shiner, TX. We hope you enjoy your Shiner Cheer, an Old World Dunkelweizen brewed with Texas peaches and roasted pecans. The malty flavors of this dark wheat ale are enhanced through the use of malted barley and wheat. And Kräusening ensures a smoothness that makes the subtle peach and pecan flavors all the more satisfying. May your days be merry and bright and your Shiner be cold. Prosit!

Purchased a 6-pack of these bottles, I think in Ohio somewhere - on a trip to St. Louis. was expecting lots of spices for a holiday beer, but no. Peaches and pecans. Interesting. Pours a clean copper colour with dark amber highlights. The head is fizzy, not lasting too long. Beige, and leaving a few bubbles around the neck. Lots of peaches in the nose over mild nuttiness. The nut notes do come out more in the taste, calming the fruity sweetness. Decent hops help out in the finish as well with some light bitterness, and a nice dry finish. Again, very interesting, and nicely brewed all around. Was not sure I could have a few of these one night, and I could. Thankful for those well-blended hops.

Pour out a dark copper color with a slight head. The aroma is of peach very interesting. The mouthfeel is just above average. The taste is of peach with a hint of cherry and a lot of spices.

Got this as part of a "Beers of the World" case from a buddy for Christmas and finally getting around to it in March. Having that in mind, I did feel a little festive drinking this beer. Some lingering spiciness that brings to mind the holiday season. Over not bad.

Strong, malty aroma has a firm overtone of peach, sweet and tempting but not too sweet. Got a nutty hint, no doubt from the pecans. Pours a clear sienna with a fairly thick buff head. Peach dominates the flavor, but does not overwhelm the malty, nutty, earthy and hoppy notes - hop bitterness nicely balances the sweetness from the peaches. Texture has average body and plenty of lively fizz. Anytime is the season for good beer!

Really enjoyed the peach flavoring, beer was a nice dark amber color. Excellent holiday beer. Had a slight nutty after taste but overall the beer has a smooth rich finish.

Excellent offering from Shiner... thanks, Lou. Pours red-amber with a thin, albeit fluffy head with caramel notes in the nose. Medium bodied. Toffee, caramel, dried fruit and some spice I couldn't quite put my finger on in the flavors. Lightly sweet to a bitter finish. Nice.

Lou, I have you to thank for providing me with one of the most unique Winter Ales I can recall. Crystal clear ruby amber pour with a beige head and decent lacing. Light to medium bodied, rather sweet and easy going. Wheat, banana and spices with an onslaught of peaches in heavy syrup and sugar cookies. The pecans are well hidden, but are detectable from time to time in the aftertaste. We do get Shiner beers, but I've never noticed or even searched for this beer in my area.....may have to take notice next season for this interesting and eye opening brew.

Most breweries make their holiday beers with spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, not Shiner, they use pecans and peaches, and the result is actually quite pleasant. The peach and nuttiness come through more in the aroma than the flavour.

It pours a dark copper and burnt orange-red with a thick light-tan head and copious lacing. An aroma of caramelized malts, light hops, oranges, cherries, brown sugar, light raisin, candied apple maybe, and holiday spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, orange and citrus, cherry, raisin, honey, candied apples, and holiday spices. A bit early to try it, but it is an excellent XMAs brew!

This poured a dark copper to almost brown color with a small white head. The aroma is nutty with some caramel and peaches. The flavor is a little weak, what do I expect from Shiner? Some caramel and peaches show through. The pecans are present but overtaken by an army of peaches. The palate is thin. Overall this isn’t bad, tastes about like a Shiner Bock with some peaches thrown in. It is what it is as they say
