Tasted on firkin at the 4th Annual Firkin Gravity Festival. This stout pours an eclipse black color. Small sized head. Aroma is roasty, coffee and cola, vanilla and sweet with a touch of bourbon. A medium to full bodied Oatmeal Stout. Malts are roasty, coffee and chocolate. Hops are earthy. Nice balance. Very smooth taste. The mild vanilla flavors balance out the roasty malts. Touch of wood. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Damn this is good. Incredible nose on this brew. If you love the aroma of vanilla, then this is nirvana. Appearance was midnight black with a velvety soft mouthfeel. Flavor profile is a blissful combo of vanilla, oak, roasted malt, and a caramel/toffee note that is perfect. A totally enjoyable beer that I'm pretty sure was made for someone like me who like their stouts sweet. Ahhhhh...
