I bought this beer from MacaDoodles liquor store in Jane, MO. Seemed to be a fresh beer. Nice color. Nice aroma. Amber-colored, medium-bodied British-style ale with a smooth, mildly-hoppy character. Not a bad beer. A session beer. I'll have it again.

I had this beer as a taster at the hotel bar I was staying at in St. Louis, MO. This beer was pretty ordinary for an English IPA. I thought it was decent.

Flavor and balance is not my cup of tea, but if it is an English Pale Ale, then that kind of explains it. I was sort of expecting an American Pale Ale. Pretty much looked, tasted, and felt like a pale lager....one of my least favorite styles. Couple more to try from this brewer then I'm done. Actually looking forward to the Dry-hopped APA and oatmeal stout.

12-21-2010 bottled .. . Pours a deep tan, light foam .. . copper penny and drilled tree .. . pretty simple, time has killed whatever hops were there, but still pretty tasty .. .
What's the story here with Fun Manchu?
Fu Manchu? I don't have a Fu Manchu. -

Nothing extroidinary, but very tasty. The freshness of this beer is what put it over the top. Light orange/copper with a thin white head. Floral and slightly hoppy. Session beer all the way.

Had this on tap at Bottleworks over lunch. Pretty straight forward APA, but delightful nonetheless. Clear, bright orange, lots of bubbles, fresh citrusy hops, soft touch of pine and great retention on the head. Balanced citrus and floral notes. Really stellar Pale Ale.

This is a good beer, but a boring beer. A copper colored ale. Hops and fruit are in the aroma and some malt. Crisp on the palate. The flavor is a clean crisp pale ale with no off tastes whatsoever.

Pours a crystal clear amber color with a light white head at Schlafly's Tap Room. Light unssuming nose and a body of grainy malt; very lightly hopped. A perfectly fine beer well representative of the style but reserved and, well, just a little boring. MUSIC: 'Boring Enormous' by Paul Westerberg

A copper color with a white head. The aroma is caramel, pine, and oranges. A nice balanced between the bitterness and the sweetness. Some caramel, dark fruit, and lemons in the flavor. Nothing too exciting but ok.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a thick white head. Good lacing. Aroma is almost lager-like. Not that hoppy and a little maltiness to it. Mouthfeel is nice, but this doesn't taste that good. Kinda bland. They need to kick it up in terms of hops. Not something I'll buy at the liquor store again.
