Weak. Every characteristic is weak. Looks like a pale macro brew. Smells like a weak beer, barely any hint of wheat. Flavor is much the same, with some dryness...very boring. Wouldn't drink this again given the chance.

bought at Cork + Barrel, Lawrence,KS .. . Pours a murky yellow rose, big soapy head, looks and smells like soapy dishwater .. . thin and actually quite awful- the ukranian crap lager i had 10 minutes ago is like champagne compared with this mop dripped sewage .. . in no way shape or form is this enjoyable... . i'm not having fun anymore, i just want you to know that...

Really had a hankering for a hefe and this one was highly recommended. Not impressed as it was average in every respect. It was decidely hefe, but nothing really stood out. Drinkable, but don't go out of your way for it.

overall average poured very golden with a light thin white head mirky at first but cleared up and wasnt as "dirty" looking as other unfiltered wheat beers i have had the flavor and aroma were decent but it was worth a try

Full disclosure: I'm not a Hefe fan. But even so this is medocre at best. The best part about this beer was the pour; cloudy amber with a nice, thick head that left a nice lace. Bubbles keep refreshing the head. Smells just like the Schlafly Pilsner I tried last night. Seriously, side by side I wouldn't know the difference. There should be more presence here. And the taste has very little character. Man, this is almost like a thick Pilsner in every respect. Mouthfeel is thicker than the Pils, but barely up to Hefe standards. Overall I recommend passing this up. I mean, I'm not screaming for a lemon, but I'm damn close.

Bottled Nov 23, 2004. Light gold color, very hazy and cloudy. Small sized white fizzy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet, touch of spiciness. Light to medium bodied American wheat. Malts are fruity and crisp. Slightly spicy hops. Crisp and clean. Light and refreshing, just not much flavor. What there is nice, but I wish there was a little more of it. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

2 of 6 from a lunch-time sampler at the Tap Room. This is an unfiltered German wheat beer with a healthy dose of yeast. Lemony color and hazy in appearance. The aroma features German hops (Tettnanger). Tangy, yeasty flavor is refreshing. Full body. I like it.

Very light cloudy gold coloring. The head is very thin. A few lazy bubbles work their way up the glass. Aroma is very light with a little bit of wheat and just a hint of mandarin oranges. The taste is a strange combination of Sprite and some wheat bread. This is a decent summer brew, but a strange taste.

Pours a beautiful misty yellow with airy, white head and nice lacing. Plenty of wheat and American hops are present in the aroma. The flavor is grainy, but clean. No bananas or spice, very clean. Refreshing, light body, with ample carbonation. Would probably be even better with an orange pinwheel.

Sampled from bottle. Pours a hazy, tarnished yellow with a thin white head. The aroma is sharp with citrus, fresh grass and pepper spice. Flavor is balanced and tart. Lemons and pepper accent the wheat malt well. Light bodied with zesty carbonation. Finishes clean. Seems more of a mix of a wit and an American wheat than a hefe, but its a refreshing beer nonetheless.
