Our Nitro IPA is boldly bitter yet surprisingly smooth. Nitro can mute aroma and leave bitterness, particularly in IPAs, so to stand up to the creaminess of nitro we used heavy doses of dry hopping to achieve the resinous pine, spice, and citrus hop character we love. A fortitude of hop character remains with notes of resinous pine and citrus for a flavorful, lingering finish. Pours clear, coppery amber with a very fine-bubbled buff head that leaves generous lacing. Aroma delivers resiny hop and sweet citrus tones. Refreshing flavor is nothing special, but pleases with citrus and hop notes, a little bitterness, a hint of malt. Smooth mouthfeel presents decent body and fizz. Get hoppin’ for a can.

Sam Adams simply doesn't miss. This was a really nice nitro IPA. I know there are legions of anti-nitro folk. I am not one of them. I like nitro beers and it works well with an IPA. Great job Sam Adams.

Pine and biscuit and lavender in the nose. Clear golden body topped with worthy egg white head with good retention and OK lace. Mouth is thick and creamy (nitro). 100 IBU tastes like 75 or so (nitro again) but it is quite bitter. A hint of peach in the flavor, a dry raw grainy flavor with a bit of alcohol present. I tend to find a bit of sour in nitro spa's and its in this one too. Finish is astringent and sour in an unpleasant way.
